Athletica Health + Wellness is a private allied health clinic offering osteopathy, remedial massage and acupuncture in Pottsville.
Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for rebates or funding through private health insurance, Medicare, DVA or an approved compensation scheme.
Below is a guide to the funding arrangements we may be able to assist with.
PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE
Eligible osteopathy, remedial massage and acupuncture appointments may qualify for private health insurance rebates.
Your rebate depends on your health fund, extras cover, practitioner and treatment type.
HICAPS is available for on-the-spot claiming, allowing eligible clients to claim their rebate at the time of payment.
We recommend checking your cover directly with your insurer before your appointment.
Medicare — GP Chronic Condition Management Plans
If you have a chronic medical condition, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates towards osteopathy appointments under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan.
Your GP will determine whether you're eligible and whether osteopathy is appropriate for your care plan.
Eligible patients can generally access up to five Medicare-rebated individual allied health services per calendar year, shared across eligible allied health providers.
Medicare covers part of the consultation fee, and a gap payment may apply.

Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)
Supporting veterans with personalised osteopathic care.
Athletica welcomes eligible DVA patients seeking osteopathic treatment for musculoskeletal pain, injuries, mobility concerns and ongoing physical health needs.
Our osteopaths provide hands-on assessment, treatment and rehabilitation advice tailored to each patient's presentation.
DVA Gold Card
Eligible Gold Card holders may access clinically necessary osteopathy services under applicable DVA arrangements.
DVA White Card
Eligible White Card holders may access osteopathy for accepted conditions, subject to DVA requirements.
How to arrange your appointment
Obtain a valid referral from an authorised medical practitioner.
Contact Athletica with your referral and DVA details.
Our team will confirm the relevant booking and billing arrangements.
Workers Compensation
Osteopathic care for work-related injuries.
Athletica may provide osteopathic treatment for eligible patients recovering from workplace injuries, subject to the relevant compensation scheme and insurer approval.
Our osteopaths can assist with assessment, hands-on treatment, rehabilitation and supporting your return to everyday activities.
Before booking, please provide:
Your claim number
Insurer and case manager details
Any relevant referral or treatment approval
Details of your accepted injury
Treatment must be approved where required. Gap payments may apply depending on the relevant funding arrangements.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Athletica may be able to assist eligible NDIS participants with certain osteopathic services where the support is appropriate, permitted under NDIS rules and consistent with the participant's plan and goals.
Funding arrangements depend on the participant's plan management type, available funding and current NDIS requirements.
